Showroom volunteers help welcome our families into the Furniture Bank, help them choose furniture, and record the choices for our drivers. Our families come with a case worker who is already familiar with the process, and staff are always on hand, so volunteers are never alone. And of course we train our volunteers on the process! We need volunteers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday mornings. An ongoing commitment throughout the schoolyear is preferred. Taking breaks for holidays and schoolwork is welcomed! (We do also serve families in the summer if you are local to the area.)

Volunteer as a Pantry Assistant at NSI’s Food Pantry, located less than a mile away from the OSU campus center. Roll up your sleeves and help keep our pantry running strong by assisting neighbors with shopping in the pantry, stocking shelves, receiving deliveries, sorting donations, greeting neighbors, and more! This essential work ensures local families can access healthy nutrition in a safe community space. No prior experience needed! We offer flexible shifts 6 days a week that you can sign up for at your convenience. We do require closed-toed shoes. All volunteers will receive an orientation and will sign a volunteer liability waiver upon arrival. Sign up today to join your local community in the fight to end hunger in Central Ohio.
