Description
LifeTown is a 5,000 sq. ft. functioning city that was developed by special education professionals and designed to encourage the building of transition skills. Unlike the real world, there is no hurry and skills can be practiced over, and over again. It is a safe, nurturing environment where students can learn while having fun! ​

    At LifeTown, volunteers play a vital role in creating positive, supportive, real-world learning experiences for students with disabilities. Whether serving as a banker, librarian, shopkeeper, or another community member, volunteers help students build confidence and practice essential life skills in a fun, encouraging environment. Volunteer shifts are available most weekdays from 9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Casual attire and free parking are provided. Individuals and groups are welcome!
