Battle Against Hunger

The Battle Against Hunger is a month-long program during November aimed at bringing awareness to issues surrounding food insecurity through food drives, service and educational events. You can get involved by hosting a food drive during November and sharing your results with Pay It Forward, or by participating in one of our events throughout the month.

  • Fruit Snacks (Mott’s Preferred)
  • Nutri-Grain Bars
  • Goldfish (Snack Size bags)

Your organization can register for our food drive, which will run through November. We will give your organization directions on how to keep track of total donations. At the end of the month, your contribution per member will be calculated (so don’t worry if you have a small organization!) and the student organization with the highest contribution will be awarded. Service Opportunities

  • November 19, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
    • Enjoy brunch (first come first served) and work to pack snack packs for our partner Feed The Kids Columbus. We will be hearing from the Director of Feed the Kids Columbus, along with members of the Feed The Kids Columbus Board of Directors. This will be a great event to work to package snack packs and get to know other students in the OSU community. Participants are encouraged to bring donations, but it is not an expectation.
    • Location: Student Alumni Council Room - Ohio Union
    • Register here for the service project supporting Feed The Kids Columbus on November 19.
