Orthopaedic Surgery Interest Group

  • Title: Outstanding Student Organization Program Award

The mission of the Orthopaedic Surgery Interest Group (OSIG) at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is to provide medical students with exposure to the field of orthopaedics, promote education about orthopaedic surgery, and foster mentorship and research opportunities. Through participation in events such as residency application sessions, orthopaedic trauma hands-on workshops, mentorship pairings and MSK physical exam training, OSIG members gain valuable insight into the field of orthopaedics, along with transferrable skills that they can carry with them throughout their careers. OSIG’s programs have cultivated a stronger sense of community among students interested in orthopaedics, empowering students to take active roles in their education and create lasting connections within the profession.
