Miranda Freedman

  • Title: Outstanding Senior Award

A psychology major from Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, Miranda Freedman is a member and captain of the Ohio State fencing team, Co-President of Buckeye Spectrum, and Co-Chair of the Queer Student Athlete Coalition. A regular attendee of the Athlete Ally Activism Summit, Miranda is a steadfast advocate for queer student athletes. This work has translated into her leadership as Co-President of Buckeye Spectrum where she has collaborated with individuals from across the University to craft policy changes and improve resources for queer student-athletes. After graduating, Miranda plans to pursue a Master’s in Sports Coaching as her next step of the path to becoming a sports psychologist, with a PhD in Clinical Psychology on the horizon.
