Community Engagement

In fulfillment of the university's mission, "education for citizenship," Ohio State students have numerous opportunities to connect with communities, engage in various issues, and develop skills for active citizenship. Leadership and Community Engagement offers a variety of programs designed to help students engage at a local, national, and global level. This dashboard is designed to allow students connect with community partners around service opportunities across central Ohio.

  We all learn best by doing and at LifeTown, our volunteers provide children with disabilities with supportive, positive real-world experience. Whether role-playing as banker, librarian, or another community member, volunteers at LifeTown are instrumental in helping students with disabilities transition to the real world! Volunteer hours are 9:30 AM-12:00 PM Monday-Friday. Daily orientations are provided for new volunteers. Volunteers can register with the following link: ​https://www.lifetowncolumbus.org/volunteer
