Sarah Weglarz

Sarah Weglarz, another Powell, Ohio native, is a senior Public Health Sociology major who advocates for youth empowerment and education, especially through her work co-founding Uplift Youth Volunteers, which is a group designed to address resource disparities affecting children’s development. Inspired by coursework on child psychology and public health, UYV partnered with Graham Elementary and Middle School to provide essential resources including books, nonperishable food, and PE equipment. Sarah’s hands-on leadership extends to mentoring students, organizing after-school programs, and hosting an annual career fair to introduce students to diverse career paths. Sarah’s ability to turn knowledge into action has created tangible opportunities for young students, fostering confidence and academic growth. A passionate believer in education, Sarah is committed to ensuring every child has the tools they need to succeed.
