Ruhi Sahu
- Title: Outstanding Senior Award
A neuroscience major from Dublin, Ohio, Ruhi Sahu has made it her mission to get involved on campus and in the community. A lifelong dancer, Ruhi auditioned for Inaayat, the Indian Classical Dance Team during her freshmen year, and, through an executive board role, helped the team transition back into the competitive collegiate circuit after the pandemic. She has also been a dedicated member of the Student Life’s Pay It Forward cohort, where she has planned programming for the Ohio State community to get involved in community service throughout Columbus. For the past two years, she has co-chaired the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, where she has helped over 1000 Buckeyes serve the community. With other members of Pay it Forward, she founded ServUS, a startup in affiliation with the United Nations that provided Ohio State students with service opportunities aligned with the UN Sustainable Development goals and received $50,000 as finalists for the President's Buckeye Accelerator Fund to connect students to Columbus nonprofits. Upon graduating, she will pursue her dream of becoming the first physician in her family by attending medical school, with a goal of becoming a specialized pediatric physician serving immigrant and refugee youth.
