Regina Loayza

  • Title: Outstanding Senior Award

Regina Loayza is proud to live out USG’s values of students serving students. This Environmental Policy and Decision Making major from New Albany has held multiple leadership roles in the Undergraduate Student Government, and it was through this involvement that she became particularly passionate about advocating for student farm workers and divesting from fossil fuels, recognizing the importance of addressing social and environmental justice issues on campus. She represents USG as the executive director of the Association of Big Ten Students, where she collaborates with student leaders across the Big Ten, including planning the 2024 Big Ten Conference. Regina is also a proud member of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc., where she has increased interest in the organization by over 200%. After graduation, Regina plans to build on her environmental advocacy and attend law school in her mission to become an environmental lawyer.
