Pre-Health Constellation
- Title: Outstanding New Student Organization Award
The motivation to establish Pre-Health Constellation (PHC) at Ohio State came from a desire to help pre-health students become well-rounded, compassionate leaders who can make a meaningful impact, in healthcare broadly and locally in Columbus. PHC was created to offer students a chance to grow beyond their academic studies, encouraging them to engage in volunteer work that fosters empathy, social responsibility and a more holistic understanding of healthcare. Seeing a need for additional service opportunities for pre-health students, PHC aims to bridge that gap by offering consistent volunteer opportunities with local organizations focusing on issues like homelessness, mental health, and community outreach. In their first year, PHC dedicated 1,190 hours to local outreach, and raised nearly $1200 for Star House Columbus.
