Michael Corey

  • Title: Outstanding External Mentor

Michael Corey has served as Executive Director of the Human Service Chamber of Franklin County since 2017, during which time HSC's membership has quadrupled to nearly 200 health and human services nonprofits. He is a board member for RAPID 5, and a member of the Moritz College of Law's National Council. He is a former Board member of the Rise Together Innovation Institute, and a former Co-Chair of the American Constitution Society of Columbus. An attorney, Michael holds a B.A. from Duke University, an M.A. in Education Policy & Leadership from Ohio State, and a J.D. from the Moritz College of Law. Michael supports Buckeye Leadership Fellows through exemplary mentorship, namely by helping students find internships, reviewing resumes, leading sessions on nonprofit management, and connecting Fellows to volunteer service during their time in the BLF program.
