Mason Myers
- Title: Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student
Mason Myers has stayed in his hometown of Columbus to work towards becoming a Doctor in Physical Therapy. The mentorship he received through the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship has been instrumental in honing his ability to identify and address critical socioeconomic, racial, and LGBTQIA+ disparities within our communities. He used these skills to form "Adaptive Endeavors," a volunteer-driven wellness initiative that offers personalized fitness plans, recreational activities, exposure to adaptive sports, and education on topics including mental health resources for individuals living with disabilities in Columbus. Through experiences serving as a resident aide in Missoula, Montana with the Empower SCI program, as a Physical Therapy Aide at OSU’s Martha Morehouse Outpatient Neurologic Rehabilitation clinic, and as the Vice-Chair of The Ohio State University Student Pro-Bono Physical Therapy Clinic, he has found his professional passion and built leadership skills that he will bring into his work as a physical therapist.
