• Title: Outstanding Green Buckeye

Lillian Des Rosiers is an Environmental Engineering major with a minor in Humanitarian Engineering from Columbus. She has made her mark at OSU over the last four years as a leader in, and now Director of, the Sustainability Committee, an involvement that led her to represent Ohio State at the 2023 Midwest Climate Summit. Under her leadership, the Sustainability Committee led 7 campus initiatives, ranging from hosting a collective of sustainable businesses and organizations in the oval for our farmer’s market to hosting a competition amongst fraternities to encourage off-campus recycling. They are working on more projects this Spring, including obtaining funding for the Byrd Polar Climate Research Center, providing students with sustainable menstrual products, and implementing native gardens throughout campus. She will continue to use her leadership skills as an environmental engineer in CDM Smith’s environmental services group.
