Jacob Lansing
- Title: Outstanding Senior Award
Jacob Lansing never thought that his hobby could make such an impact on his community, but as an Animal Sciences major from Midland, he became the founder of Buckeye Bunnies, a new student organization that explores the interest and purpose of rabbits. He is also a member of the CFAES Student Council and serves on the Presidential Host Program team. As the Founder and President of Buckeye Bunnies, Jacob was tested as a leader but quickly gained confidence in his ability to communicate, network and empower the members of his organization in their pursuit of a shared interest. As a CFAES ambassador, Jacob has also been able to interact with hundreds of prospective students and has used his experiences to impact the lives of people around him and help bring outstanding students into the Ohio State community. Following graduation, he will be pursuing a degree in Veterinary Medicine to become a large-animal veterinarian, with a specialty in small ruminants, and Jacob hopes to continue supporting 4H and rabbit clubs and committees to advocate for the importance of learning science and leadership to improve our communities.
