• Title: Outstanding Senior Award

A Biology major on a pre-medical track from Cincinnati, Clara Planner is dedicated to creating change in the medical field. She got involved with BuckeyeThon during her first year at OSU, and through this organization has learned the importance of effective leadership, strengthened her communication skills, and cultivated an understanding of the importance of relationships and philanthropy. She has also learned how to be resilient and curious in the face of challenges, skills she brought to serving as a Patient Care Associate the Wexner Medical Center and as a research assistant with the Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity. After graduation, Clara plans to take a gap year before attending medical school, where she will continue her work in supporting children with cancer and blood disorders by specializing as a pediatric oncologist.
