• Title: Dean's Leadership Award

Brooke Tacsar is a junior from Cleveland double majoring in Journalism and Criminology being recognized for leadership in student organizations, her work as a student employee with Parent and Family Relations, and her participation in Buck-I-SERV Alternative Breaks. In her work with Parent and Family Relations, Brooke created a monthly article called Department Debriefs that shares information to parents, families, and students about available campus resources. Department Debriefs have become a well-acknowledged project by other universities, external panels, and Ohio State offices, averaging 600 views a month and being the 5th most viewed page on Parent and Family Relation's website. She has also been a participant and leader for multiple Buck-I-SERV trips, where she has helped Buckeyes engage in responsible volunteering. She has also been a leading voice for her peers as a member of the Student Experience and Engagement Delegates program that provides perspective to the Dean of Students, Dr. Danny Glassmann.
