• Title: Outstanding Green Buckeye

A Biochemistry major from Dublin, Ohio, Brendan Fowler has focused his energy on Carbon Capture sciences. As a member of the Carbon Capture Club, he helped plan the Earth Day Festival 2023 with fellow winner Lauren Wagner. This event collaborated with over 70 sustainability groups to bring over 1000 community members to campus, gaining the recognition of Governor Mike Dewine. As the president of the American Conservation Coalition, he used the leadership skills he has gained in the environmental space to help launch two chapters in Ohio. He also successfully developed a proposal for a recycling program for students living in the off-campus housing district. He plans to use these skills after graduation to work as an entrepreneur in the carbon capture and utilization field.
