• Title: Student Organization Excellence in Operations

Biomedical Engineering Society is the undergraduate chapter of the national BMES organization. Dedicated to improving the experience of undergraduates at Ohio State interested in biomedical engineering, they emphasize more than just the professional development of their members. BMES cultivates the holistic development of their members by planning social events, coordinating mentorship, and planning outreach programs that impact the BMES community. BMES accomplishes these lofty goals through strategic collaboration. Members work with external industry partners and internal campus partners alike, showing true commitment to the improvement of the student experience. BMES works intentionally to provide their members with a support system, coordinating an internal mentorship program which pairs upper class members with underclass members through a matching system based on activities. Once in the organization, members will encounter a wide array of experiences including professional panels, social events, and community oriented volunteer work.
