• Title: Student Employment Experience (SEE) Student Employee Award

A senior Harrington Park, New Jersey native majoring in Strategic Communication, Ava Wohner is being recognized for her work as a Student Coordinator in the Department of Recreational Sports, the highest position a student employee can acquire. Ava has been promoted multiple times due to her strong leadership and ability to hold strong social awareness in team settings. She strategically positions staff in situations that help them develop professionally while simultaneously giving the right amount of direction, coaching, support and delegation. Ava also works to educate herself on social and cultural issues and has used her work to help create an inclusive working environment. Ava has left a legacy of inclusive leadership in the department that others will be able to model in future years.
