Antonette Lackey

• Title: Outstanding Senior Award

Hailing from Columbus, senior Antonette Lackey is graduating with a degree in Nursing and a certification in Primary Care. Through her involvement in the Black Student Association, Antonette made a difference and developed lifelong friendships as both a general body member and the Community Service Ambassador. As a member of the 2024 Homecoming Court, Antonette served the Columbus community by raising money for the Ohio State Total Health and Wellness Fund. While she has faced many challenges during her time as a student, each one pushed her to become more creative and innovative, molding her into the person she is today. Soon, Antonette will begin her career as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital here in Columbus. She has also been inspired by her own professors and mentors to continue her education in pursuit of becoming a nursing professor, hoping to mentor the next generation of nursing students.
