Aminah Shahzad

Columbus’s own Aminah Shahzad will graduate soon with her Master’s degree in Consumer Sciences, Fashion and Retail Studies, which she has pursued while holding numerous leadership roles, including as a Delegate for the Council of Graduate Students, Vice President of Hospitality and Retail Management Graduate Student Association, and as an International Graduate Student Ambassador. As Treasurer of Phi Upsilon Omicron, she managed budgets and ensured effective resource allocation, enabling the organization to pursue initiatives like the service project she helped organize for Legacy Middle School, which included a clothing drive, professional attire guidance, and college readiness sessions for students. After graduation, Aminah intends to carry forth the Ohio State spirit of excellence and use the skills she has gained to create meaningful change in the fashion, retail, and marketing industries by advocating for policies that uplift people and communities.
