The mission of the American Conservation Coalition is to bring awareness towards the pressing matters of sustainability to the diverse communities at The Ohio State University. This organization has made a commitment to making sustainability inclusive and accessible to all students, regardless of their background. Members have broadened the scope of sustainability through collaboration with external partners, partnering with other sustainability groups on campus, and organizing activities that educate and involve students in sustainable practices. The establishment of this organization and its goals came after its founding members identified a gap between student interest in sustainability and student participation in sustainable practices and activities. Members work to fill that gap by giving students the opportunity for thorough engagement in sustainability at large-scale events.
