Alyssa Reynolds serves as the assistant to the department chair for the Department of History, supports history faculty as needed, and supervises the department's student employees and receptionists. She works hard to help her student employees see their jobs as meaningful experiences where they can develop professional skills. She has been a major advocate for her students’ health and wellbeing, including updating the student employee manual to explicitly include mental health days in their employment policies. Her students see her not only as a supervisor, but as a personal resource and mentor who is invested in them holistically.
