Alison Myers

  • Title: Outstanding Senior Award

Alison Myers is a Neuroscience major from Perrysburg who has served as the Director of Development for BuckeyeThon, a Research Assistant for the STAIRS Lab and the Director of Student Affairs on the Leadership Council. Her work in BuckeyeThon has made Alison responsible for securing large financial donations and in-kind contributions to support the organization’s mission of raising funds to fight pediatric cancer and blood disorders at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Through this service, she has learned the impact of genuine connections, impactful stories and helping others see the value of making a difference while engaging in philanthropy. As a research assistant, Alison engaged in research focused on concussions in high school girls’ lacrosse. Her research has helped to highlight gaps in awareness and safety protocols to create safer environments for student athletes. As she prepares to graduate from Ohio State, Alison will be attending medical school and pursuing a career as a physician.
