Included in participant fee:

All logistical and travel expenses: Roundtrip flights, one checked bag per person, rental vehicles for local transportation in Colorado (damage/insurance coverage included), gas for rental vehicles, parking for rental vehicles, any toll fees incurred during travel, and overnight lodging for entire week.

Project/service fees OR donation to community partner for facilitating week of service/alternative break experience.

Buck-I-SERV supplies/swag: Individual items (t-shirts, water bottles, pens, and reflection booklets for each group member) and group items (first aid kit, disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, deck of playing cards, and thank you card for community partner).

Buck-I-SERV Events and Training: Summer Kick-Off and Welcome Back events with catering and pre-trip education and training.

Most meals and group activities: The group will be provided a budget to use for group meals and group activities. Participants should plan to bring money for out of pocket expenses.
Travel and Housing:

Participants will fly roundtrip to and from Denver, Colorado. Upon arrival in Denver, the group will pick up rental vehicles and drive the remaining distance to Empire, where they will spend the week.

Housing for the trip will be provided on-site at the Rocky Mountain Village Camp.

A packing list will be provided to participants and discussed during pre-trip meetings leading up to departure.
What to expect:

Easterseals Colorado is leading the way to full access for people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers across Colorado by enhancing wellbeing, expanding employment, and elevating community.

Rocky Mountain Village is an Easterseals camp near Empire, Colorado, visited by over 800 children and adults with disabilities in the summer season. During the week, campers come to enjoy swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, music, and theater, among many other constructive activities. Throughout the year, Rocky Mountain Village also operates as a respite camp and offers weekend R&Rs.

Volunteers will assist camp directors to restore the camp from its winter conditions and prepare the camp for the summer season. Rocky Mountain Village is on the edge of Arapaho National Forest near many outdoor recreational sides including hiking trails, waterfalls, and lakes. Outside of service hours, participants will have to opportunity to explore the Rocky Mountain sites and the surrounding area.
