The Public Affairs Multicultural Student Organization was reinvigorated with a vision to bridge the gap between public affairs and diverse academic disciplines while prioritizing marginalized communities. Their mission is to make policy conversations accessible, actionable, and relevant to everyone, regardless of major. During their first year, PAMSO worked alongside the Social Equity Committee of the John Glenn College Alumni Board Society to create a space for students to network, learn from experienced professionals and explore opportunities in public affairs through their Social Equity Mixer event. Beyond this event, the organization has also provided various opportunities for professional development, community engagement and conversations with local changemakers for its membership. The Public Affairs Multicultural Student Organization is driven by the belief that everyone has a role in shaping public affairs and works to ensure that no one is excluded from these conversations.
