But We Have Always Done it this Way!: Revaluating Organizational Traditions and Practices

3-4pm

Senate Chamber (Ohio Union)

Ever sit in a planning meeting, and someone says, "But we have always done it this way"? That mindset alone can stunt organizational growth and innovation. It can also perpetuate behaviors and traditions that might not benefit your members. In this workshop, we will discuss how to assess your organization's traditions and practices, how to combat harmful behaviors, and re-imagine traditions into healthy celebrations. At the end of this session, participants can start to develop a roadmap to increase a sense of belonging in their organization while aligning practices with their values.
