Madison Eagle serves as a Coordinator for Belonging and Student Support in the Center for Belonging and Social Change, where she works closely with NativeOSU and La C.A.S.A. She centers her work in mentorship and advocacy for students on campus, with deep investment in creating an equitable and accessible community. Her nominator says about her, “I learned so much from her about what it takes to serve your community – Maddie goes above and beyond to ensure the Indigenous students she advises know that we deserve to be at OSU, and we deserve to be respected by our peers who do not understand what it means to exist at this kind of institution as a Native American. It has been so important to have a mentor figure look after me and encourage me throughout struggles – it has been so important to be able to turn to her when I or any other Native student need help or advice, and it has been so meaningful to be able to celebrate our successes.”
