• Title: Outstanding Senior Award

After starting college during COVID, Logan Nethers was eager to get back into community service. Through Buck-I-SERV, they have helped revitalize a park in Virginia, restore an ecosystem in Florida, combat the impacts of climate change in Louisiana, and assist underprivileged families in Oklahoma. This Biological Engineering major from Newark extended their passion for community engagement by representing the Buckeyes on the 2023 Homecoming Court. Through Court, she gave of her time by volunteering at Welcome Week, during Community Commitment, and through fundraising for Buck-I-SERV. They also worked hard to create a more inclusive environment for other LGBTQIA+ people in the Society of Women Engineers, where they helped cofound an LGBTQIA+ affinity space. After graduation, she will be pursuing a Master of Global Engineering Leadership while completing the Brewing Apprenticeship Program with Anheuser-Busch, before hopefully opening a brewery with their dad back home in Newark
