• Title: Outstanding Student Organization New Member

A first-year Biomedical Engineering major from Cincinnati, Anna Mickol is being recognized for her commitment to the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES). Anna embodies the BMES values of teamwork, active participation, and respect, starting off the year with a bang by forming a variety of relationships with the BMES Kickoff. Anna has an infectious energy that she brings to organization meetings and events, and she isn’t afraid to help be a voice to other more reserved students, especially her fellow new members. She has been an active participant in BMES’s mentorship program, and connects deeply not only with her own mentor, but with the other members of her mentorship team as they compete across team-based competitions. Anna has worked hard to build these relationships into friendships, even outside of the organization, and these actions set Anna apart as one of the most influential and amicable members within our community.
